Swedish Institute of Technology is proud of its labs and the constant pains that it takes to organize and develop it. The mechanical department is equipped with latest and upgraded machinery which no other institute can boost of. Students get the maximum advantage. Qualified faculty work day and night to maintain this highly sophisticated machinery and ensures that students entering the professional life must be aware of the latest trends and inventions in the mechanical industry. It’s a tough ask because of the fast growing mechanical industry but SIT is proud of the determination and hard work of its teachers and students.
The Mechanical Engineering Technology program provides relevant industrial experience within the academic environment through laboratory projects, experimentation, classroom lecture and demonstrations. Students have access to state-of-the-art computer facilities, materials testing, power transmission, fluids, automation and manufacturing laboratories. Students gain experience with computer software (CAD, CIM, and FEA – all widely used in industry) for incorporation into projects, associated with key manufacturing areas typical of projects carried out in industry. The program places emphasis on mechanical design, component analysis and product development.
Hard work is a key to success. Nothing can be achieved without doing effort. Students after successfully completing their education students can move further in the field of applied engineering. Job titles held by our qualified students include Associate Mechanical Engineer, Associate Manufacturing Engineer and Tool Designer. Students can anticipate both local and national employment opportunities. The Mechanical Engineering Technology program provides the versatility of pursuing careers in product design, structural analysis and manufacturing.
